Keeping things in Context

Growing up, I remember my English teachers reminding me every year how important context is. To be able to utilize your context clues, to read in context, to understand in context. Now, as a young man well removed from grade school, they were very much so right. Shout out to any of my English/Grammer teachers that might ever stumble upon this by chance, y'all weren't kidding. Context is probably one of the most pressing themes in my life this past year. Being able to do the aforementioned with context is growing more essential to me each and every day. For instance, reading the Bible in the context in which it was written is probably one of the most important things you can do. But just like our English teachers have always mentioned, you should always be reading any literary piece in context. The Bible is no different.
